ESALQ Red Jaboticaba, scientifically known as Plinia phitrantha, is a premium Brazilian tropical fruit variety known for its large, sweet, grape-like fruits that grow directly on the trunk and branches. It is considered faster-growing and more precocious than classic Jaboticaba varieties such as Sabará, with fruiting potentially beginning in around 2–3 years under suitable conditions.
